The dream world is a natural human unconscious. What is recent thought or want to do in the real life, will be involved in a dream. Reality or a dream, sometimes is almost no different.

A teenager girl 15 years old, Helena (Stephanie Leonidas), is part of the family circus. She really like drawing and writing. One time she feel bored with daily activity as the circus player and she want to leave it and searching for what he expected in ‘real life’. He was forced, because the parents want it, especially his mother, Joanne (Gina McKee). One time, there was conflict between Helena and her mother, Helena got emotion and to say the words that she hoped her mother does not exist. Who is suspected, her mother fell ill and must undergo surgery. Chance of living is very small. Helena regret very words and deeds, he said. He would like to apologize and do something so that the mother can return healthy. His father, Morris (Rob Brydon) said to Helena that is happening is not her guilty. But Helena still sad.

When sleep, between the real and not, Helena go to stranger experience of the world between the white queen and the black queen. She meet a new friends, Valentine (Jason Barry) and the fantasy animals, bizarre places that same like she draw. In the adventure, Helena accompanied with Valentine, must solve the mystery and find the Mirrormask to bring her back to real life and wake-up the white queen is in coma because of the black queen. Did Helena get successful to go back? How is her mother condition? Helena can learn to be more except the facts or reality life.

My Opinion
This film is has simple story, about a teenager who find teak dilemma of herself. But, because it is packed with the delusion that the world may be spelled ‘weird’, makes the film is interesting.

Dreamworld is made very abstract and bizarre. Sometimes, it’s so hard to understand. The dream is like that, isn’t it? : D

So, I thought this film that taken form the novel with the same title, can entertaining your family. But, when you watching this film with the children, do not blame it if they are looks sleepy or a lot asking because the story can make them confusing :) ***
